What we do
We see in ways others can’t. We visualize space where none exists. We think in 3-dimensions and sometimes even in four. We listen, question, anticipate, investigate, analyze, guide, suggest, and solve. To further enhance each projects vision, on top of architectural design, we also provide a multi-disciplinary design approach – from structural to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. This gives us the unique ability to conceptualize each facet of design from the very beginning keeping our clients interest at the very top.

We understand clients who have clients; developers who have tenants, healthcare providers that serve patients, districts that educate their communities, and organizations that provide people services. Many of our clients do multiple projects with the same construction team. History
1966 – PASTOR & BEILHARZ
The firm was founded by Terry E. Beilharz and Richard Pastor, with offices in downtown Defiance, Ohio, offering Architecture and Landscape Architecture services.
1979 – PASTOR & BEILHARZ ASSOCIATES, INC.
The firm incorporated and moved to its present location on the second floor of the historic building at First and Perry Streets.
1992 – BEILHARZ ARCHITECTS, INC.
Following Richard Pastor’s retirement, the firm was renamed and office space expanded.
2003 – BEILHARZ ARCHITECTS INC.
A new affiliation was formed with ATA Beilharz Architects in Cincinnati.
2021 – BEILHARZ ARCHITECTS INC.
Opened its own satellite office in Cincinnati, OH.
2025 – BEILHARZ ARCHITECTS INC.
Moved into new office headquarters at 419 5th St. Defiance, OH 43512
